3-16-12: Brave

Brave


What a great word for today. I am being brave in a few ways..........


1. I am actually writing a 5 Minute Friday blog!
2. I am publishing it for the world to see!
3. I am telling others that I posted it.


Those are very brave things for me. You see, the Lord has just recently let me know that he has made me a writer. Now, not a great writer, YET, but still. He has given me the desire and the ability to write some things that I like. Doesn't mean others will, but I do.


I also believe that bravery is doing things that are out of the norm for you. I wouldn't normally write in response to the 5 minute Friday.......as Gypsy Mama's sight says, I was a lurker. I would visit daily and ready, but even then I felt the urge to write, I wouldn't. I didn't think anyone would want to read my stuff, but in the end, that doesn't matter. What does matter is that I am being brave just trying it.


I also find that is taking some bravery on my part to let others know that I am doing this and other blogs. I am not sure what to expect and I am a little afraid of the negative comments that could come. I want to share, but am not sure I want others to share their opinions with me. I want to hear constructive criticism, but worry about the "ugly" in this world getting in.


I guess my bravery will have to be a matter of prayer so that I will not give in and give up.


Lord, make me brave for you.
